“Will” is a future tense auxiliary. I “will” suggests certainty about something e.g. “I will go with you…”
I “would” suggests something may happen, but does not provide the certainty of “will” Using “would” indicates that something is conditional or uncertain, e.g. “I would go with you…”
Specifically for you that would mean asking “will he” would receive a definite answer where as “would he” may not.
