Is the Expanding Universe…or Is it NOT?

In my new book “The Expanding Universe: Achieving Your Life’s Goals and Dreams,” I present a new way of looking at the world, one that brings into sharp focus the tremendous possibilities of the universe has to offer us. Many of us are stuck thinking only of ourselves, of our “identity” or our “being.” While this can be a very rewarding and meaningful pursuit, it can also blind us to the great wealth of the universe has to share. Our limited vision can make us feel like we have little to give.

Title of The Book

The Expanding Universe…or is it? The title of my book brings to mind an image from C.G. Lewis’ Narnia novels where the children are led through a strange, dreamlike world where the edges of the visible world begin to fade away, until there is only darkness. In this kind of visionary picture, the world is actually expanding.

When we accept this transformation as fact, then the world as we know it becomes less important. We may still see ourselves as significant…our place in the scheme of things. But there is a kind of expansion, of which we can only be aware until it’s too late to change it. We are swept by the currents of nature’s expansion, and before we know it, we are lost at sea with no destination in sight.

So how do we navigate this great expansion?

What are the keys to our success? The first is education…but not just any education. (If you want to change your life, it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee.) If we want to expand our horizons, we need to learn about outer space, the universe and beyond.

But we can’t learn about space, gravity, astronomy, paleontology, archeology or astrology from our universities, our colleges or our primary schools. They only teach a little of this, such as the calendar, solar system, etc. But if we want to expand our horizons and understand more deeply the nature of life and the universe, then these institutions will be our greatest teachers.

Fortunately, there are other institutions that are more effective than our colleges and universities, even religious ones.

There are also personal development programs, such as life coaches, whose job it is to understand the needs of others, and use that understanding to provide educational, spiritual, and motivational tools. And there are individuals, groups and families who are looking for such educators, because they know that true growth comes from self-reflection and learning. These people are searching for someone who understands that the most powerful way to expand their horizons is to look inside themselves and outside of life, and realize the meaning of everything that they encounter.

Life on Another Planet

  • Is it possible to understand the nature of life on another planet, in another solar system, with another race?
  • Can you understand the laws of magnetism, gravity, alignment of the planets, the sun, the moon, the Milky Way, quakes, explosions, GPS technology, and the structure of space-time?
  • And what about quantum mechanics and general relativity?
  • Is it possible to expand the universe to such a degree that it encompasses all that we know about the universe?
  • Who knows?

Only time will tell, and we may even discover that our very existence is part of a much larger plan.

At some point, perhaps some day we will have the answer to that question. It’s possible that we already know the answers, but if we don’t we’ll just have to keep trying.

  • How exciting would that be?
  • We’ve boldly walked this path before; can’t we do it again?

When you start asking yourself questions like these, you begin to see the bigger picture. You can’t help but notice that you’re not alone in this pursuit. There are countless numbers of people who are interested in learning more about the nature of the expanding universe…or is it? Who knows?

Study With an Experienced Instructor

But you know one thing: you’re not alone. You can study with an experienced instructor at your local community college or university, or pursue a graduate degree in this field if you’re willing to change your lifestyle for a few years. In fact, if you’re not ready to do that just yet, there are several graduate students teaching space research right now. If you study the physics of the universe and ask yourself the question above, you may well come away with some fascinating theories. The next step you’ll need to take is to find out how you can expand your horizons and start exploring new avenues in your life.

So, if you’ve been asking the question, “is the expanding universe…or is it?” your whole life, don’t be discouraged. Keep studying until you have a Theory all wrapped up. Then let others wonder what all the fuss is about! Good luck!
