There are a few things that look great on a college application: Volunteer! and do it for an extended period of time, if you are in High School, get on the National Honor Society. Join and remain in an organization such as Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, 4H. Keep your grades up! Participate in High School activities, sports or clubs. Colleges want to see that not only do you get good grades, you will be an asset to their campus life. Good Luck, and don’t forget to research and apply for as many scholarships as possible. I hope your parents are good advocates who can help you!

Study hard in hgih school, make good grades in high school, take the most advanced classed offered at your high school, and get good SAT scores. Clubs aren’t really that important–as long as you do like 2 and eventually get a leadership position, you’ll be arlight there. Get volunteer and/or work experience. But don’t put your activities/work experience over your schoolwork–it you feel overwhelemed, you will need to cut back on what you do. Colleges won’t care about this excuse for mediocre grades: “But I was working!”
