Your question needs clarification. If you mean that if all you plan to get is a 2-year degree, does it give you an advantage over someone who just graduated from high school, it will matter, particularly if your degree is in a technical subject matter. If, instead, you mean that if you go on to a four-year school and graduate, will there be a negative effect because you didn’t spend four years at the university, the answer is no.

Yes.

You will do better.

If you need to go to a community college for 2 years for an associates degree it will be a GREAT investment in yourself that you deserve.

If you need to go to a community college because others are too expensive, don’t worry. Work hard, do well and you can maybe transfer to another school with financial aid.

and just FYI

Astronauts, Actors, and even Colin Powell (former sec. of state) have gone to community colleges.

No, if you go to community college for 2 years then transfer to a 4 yr college, your degree is from the 4 year college. You dont even have to mention in your resume that you went to community college for 2 years.

What do you mean? It will show your employer that you care enough about your education to go on in your studies.
