How to become a teacher in MD, DC from NYC with a Bachelors and what kind of teachers are in demand in MD, DC?

Maryland has the most need for areas like science, math, and special education. But you should be able to get a job in any area.
But, DC and Baltimore also have ‘residency’ programs, if you are not ceritfied (and do not have an undergraduate degree in education). It is a program where you can get certified WHILE teaching full time and taking classes. The classes are paid for!! I wish I would have know about it ahead of time! Of course in Baltimore and DC, ALL subjects are needed!!! here are a couple links:

If you go out into the suburbs, I’m not as sure about what subjects are needed, probably the same as the majority of the country.
