With an associates degree at most you can get is an entry-level job into most technology areas. But the nice thing about the technology field is that experience counts much more to employers than a degree, although having the one-two combo of a degree AND experience is even better. So if you get that entry level job and then obtain great references from it, you can use it to build your stature there and then maybe go elsewhere later on. I knew somebody who didn’t even have an associates degree in Technology, all he had was a certificate, but he did have several years experience in the field before he was laid from the technology bust a few years back. I witnessed him being hired by a new technology firm and he obtained a good amount of money in the process because he had the experience that they needed. Hope this helps.
