Senior Year?

I heard its OK to slack off during senior year after college admissions/applications as long as you don’t get C’s or D’s. Will taking extra AP’s during Senior year help me much in college admissions, or am I wasting my energy for a lost cause?

Taking at least a few APs during your senior year will help you with college admissions. And slacking off could hurt. If you have been making straight A’s all through high school, the college will notice in the end if you start pulling in a lot of Bs during the last semester. Really,.it will depends on what college you are attending, but if you are attending a really prestigious university, you will not want your performance to drop at all. At a less prestigious school, you might be able to get by if you get a lot of Bs. But if you get any scholarships, you could lose them due to bad or mediocre performance in your classes.

But since you are bothering to take AP classes, you might as well make the most of your work and take all the AP exams seriously. It kind of feels pointless to take AP classes and do a lot of work for them without getting any credit for it. So keep continuing to work hard during your second semester of the year.

well that depends. Have you ever taken an AP class? classes are usually only a little bit harder then regular classes. and if you pass the AP test with 4 or higher you get the credit. I took 2 AP classes my senior year and I got a 3 in both so no credit and I had to study so much last days of school while every one else was partying. but really if you think you can pass the AP test go ahead it could 3 credits for you. Personally I liked taking classes at the CC my senior year more rewarding because there is no final test. you pass the class you get the credit. I wished I had taken more classes there instead of wasting time on the AP classes.

You should not really slack off on your senior year., I have seen 2 people loose there scholarships that way. Classes are usually easy because all you have to take is economics and English so after wards most guys take P.E’s or just go home early and girls just go home early. i took AP Lit and AP chemistry.

Good luck

senior year is not all that they make it up to be.

besides c/o 07 rocks!

Well, if you pass the AP classes, you can get college credit. It depends on your score, but if say, you score high enough on your English AP test, you won’t have to take freshman composition in college. I go to a pretty cheap (for college) four-year state school, and the classes are about $600 a piece, so taking the class and passing the test can save you several hundred dollars.

Worry more about your SATs. The only reason why you would want to take AP’s is to take the test and get college credit. Colleges will look at the complexity of your classes but it isn’t a huge factor.
