I’ve never understood the phrase “party school.” You choose whether or not you’re going to be part of the partying scene– it’s not like you’re inevitably locked into a certain type of behavior just because you go to a certain school.

Undergrads have free will and, on average, tend to make smarter long-term decisions than their parents think they will.

If we were to define a “party school” as a school where the majority of undegrads have their lives negatively impacted by participating in a partying lifestyle… then there are no party schools in the entire US. In reality, a heavy partying lifestyle is restricted to a small percentage of the overall population at every university.

All schools are, in some way, party schools. My school was called a party school but I’ve found ways to avoid the parties because they’re not for me. At my school, people who want to party move off campus and live off campus. So I live on campus. I learned the places in town to avoid from asking upperclassmen when I was a freshmen. Every college has students that drink. There are serious students in many colleges and there are many students who avoid the party scene.

I went there, NE State U is just like any other college, ppl party ppl study, you have your clicks and diff. types of ppl, so, it is the same as any other college, there are off campus partys that are attendable, but that kind of stuff is at any college and 99.9 percent of them are not out of hand.
