If someone were to get a PhD in Sociology, will their names end in PhD or MD?

Im in College majoring in Sociology, well my Bachlor’s at least, but Im going all the way to get my PhD.

PhD, MD is reserved for Doctor of Medicine

I’m not exactly sure if it would be PhD, but I definitely know that it would not be that of MD because only a medical doctor carries that degree.

PhD. You only get an MD if you attend medical school (and graduate).

everyday practitioner of medicine is abbreviated as M.D and everyday practitioner of Philosophy is abbreviated as Ph.D. the two tiers have everyday practitioner of their call itself so, the two MD and PhD holders have the perfect to have Dr formerly their call.
