I would consider businees, sociology, or psychology if I were you, although education would be great for you as well. A business degree is EXTREMELY versitile, and most major universities offer night programs for business majors, which leaves some time for your daughter.

I don’t think the degree you get will dictate your lifestyle as much as the specific job you chose. You will need to be patient and pick a job you are comfortable with – you will have many choices. The best move is getting to know someone with the company you wish to work for, they can give you objective insight into the workplace atmosphere. ANY degree will improve your life overall, I guarantee it. PLEASE commit to finishing school!! It will be one of the best things you ever do.

Sounds like your best option is something in elementary education. Usually you can pick a focus like math, English, Spanish, or social sciences. You’ll always be on your toes with elementary education, and you can even choose an emphasis on kindergarten if you’re partial to the younger ones.

Teaching is a great option if you want to have time for your family. You get off the weekends and summers if you’d rather not teach summer school.
