Finding the Right College Help?

I’ve been doing some research on colleges trying to find the best one for me and i want your help. One college i really like is UC Davis. I like the small town feel and how everything is catered to the students. Also i like how everyone is very nice and laid back. But the one thing is getting into a UC school is a total gamble so i would like to have a backup. So my question to you is if you know any schools that are similiar to Davis?

*nice town/city

*nice people

*not a huge party school

*no religious affiliation

Signing up for any college is going to be a gamble and it sounds like UC Davis is the school for you since you did all the research. But it’s always wise to have a back up plan: I would also check out the Cal State schools because (1) they’re cheaper and (2) the schools are generally smaller thus allowing more student-teacher contact. UC universities are research institutions and not as user-friendly, (plus the teachers tend to be aloof, although not all of them). Any way, good luck on your search and even more good luck for the college you will be attending.

-NYU! the town is great, always things to do.

-its not extreamly hard to get into

-it has something for every kind of person

-the people are nice in new york generally

-you will always find friends there, because its big and there are all types of people there.

– i don’t think its a huge party school, because the people are kind of artsy and independent just like most new yorkers.

-its not a religious school.

– its the kind of school where they show you how to get into the real world. not everything should be catered to you. thats not how its going to be in the real world. you have to cater to yourself.

-just check it out. there is a major for everyone there. and the campus is great.
