Why did you quit college before graduating?
There could be several reasons. I have heard all of them. (Or have I?) What was yours? Do you plan to return, or have you already? Input appreciated.

I think for the same reason a lot of women quit…Love and Marriage.
Thankfully they let us back in when we are older and wiser and really appreciate the experience!
The first time my parents were footing most of the bill, after scholarships, for my small, private college. I was only 17 and it wasn’t my money and it was my first time away from home, so I didn’t give education the respect it deserved.
The next time I was able to go to school at night…after cooking dinner and doing laundry and taking care of that family to leave them to fend for themselves while I was gone, which was very hard. Because it was my responsibility and I knew what I had missed during those years away I really paid more attention.

I had to quit before I started because when I graduated from high school I wasn’t old enough to go to college. Today, some universities will make exceptions, but in those days, they didn’t. And fifteen year old female students weren’t welcomed on campus. But I fooled them. After a successful career, marriage, family and all that, I went back and finished both a baccalaureate and a master’s degree.

I quit college after my freshman year in 2001. The private school I attended cost my parents over $17,000 and they didn’t really have any more money to spend on tuition. I was stubborn and didn’t want thousands of dollars in student loans. A couple of years went by and all I did was work in retail. After realizing my life was going nowhere and I didn’t want to be like the losers I worked with, I applied for a loan and returned to school. I got my bachelor’s degree last year and I’m going for my M.B.A. next spring.

I planned on it, but never got my book published before I finished college. I would have LOVED to leave!!!
