Kindled and Confused

I wanna Graduate Early?

I want to graduate early,. but I don’t know if It’s too late, I tried talking to my counselor, but she’s “not too smart”, and I feel like I need a professional,. I want to hear some personal stories/experiences about graduating early,. I am mostly tired of high school drama/adolescence, and I wanna move on to the better part of life, is this a wise desisscion, and I considered the friend factor, best I leave them now, I probably wont see them ever again, so whats 6 months,. I hear college friends are better,. 🙂

and I was planning on graduating on December,. may some one please help me!?

Should I graduate early, and do I need to sign some papers months ahead of time?

Your school counselor likely has a master’s degree in either education or counseling — that’s what a professional is. Here you get the answers of people who think they know but probably know about as much as you.

That said, If you’ve met all of the graduation requirements AND the college admission requirements early then there is likely no good reason not to move on to college. That’s a big ‘if’ though and once you make the decision to leave early, you generally can’t go back.

You will have more to do than just graduate – you will need to select and get accepted to a college for a spring start. That’s not always as easy as it sounds. Time to start now even if you want to start next fall — you’re 6 months late on spring 08 starts already. You’d need to get a move-on to make that one happen.

If you think the drama in HS is bad – wait until you get to college and see some real life drama. Don’t expect that it’s all over just because you’re in college. The difference in college is that the “drama” often involves real life altering events.

I’ve known a few younger than traditional students in college and they do as well as anyone else. There’s no real reason to delay if that’s what you want to do. Keep in mind that some colleges will not accept a student under 17 (if you are), most will.

I’d caution you though — it’s very unlikely that you already know more than someone who has an earned master’s or doctorate. Pay attention to what those counselors have to say – they are the education professionals.

My school counselor wasn’t too smart either. You can be a counselor, and not still not be of much help. Sorry I cant be either.
