Honestly hon, you do not need to have it set in stone what you plan to major on when you first enter into a college or university. If you go to a 4 year school, you will have to complete 2 years worth of general education first anyway, and also during that time you can take introductory/exploratory classes in any major that sounds interesting and appeals to you. You will not be asked to declare a major until you are in the second semester of your second (sophomore) year in college.

If you are interested in massage, you could go to a technical college (2 year) and get an associates degree in massage therapy, but they do not make much money! If you are interested in massage therapy and physical therapy, you could major in pre- physical therapy, biology, kinesiology, etc.

If you are interested in fixing computer errors and computer software bugs, you could consider majors in information technology, computer networking and programming, and computer science.

Just about any college in California offers these majors. You just need to start checking into colleges in California that you believe would best suit you. Look at there websites and then contact them for more information!

It’s not as complicated as it would seem.

Major in what you enjoy, not based on what you can make. If you end up in a career where the money is nice, but you are miserable, then life will be very stressful.

You can double major, or major and minor.

I am majoring in mathematics and minoring in both philosophy and secondary mathematics education, and may also minor in sociology. I love all of those subjects, and some don’t pay very well, but enough to live nicely!!

Well wishes on your decision.

You don’t really need to get a major in college to do those things. You need to go to a trade school like DeVry or something like that.
