If someone is mexican, special needs, transgender, homosexual or whatever shouldn’t have any bearing on your paper. They are just people, they don’t belong to some other species because they are different from you. If you would stop defining yourself and others perhaps you would “fit in” better. You are only complaining because you see yourself as better than these people and you don’t think it’s fair that you have to take their feelings into consideration.

By the way, Mexicans are still Mexicans. Chicanos are actually from the Chicago area. Hispanics are of Latin American decent.

Since you are writing about “your experience” in college, keep it factual and you don’t have to worry about being PC. PC is for people who embellish the truth or are writing fantasy.
