degrees for the FBI?

I’m interested in joining the FBI when I turn 23 and I was wondering what degree I should get after I finish up my undergraduate studies. I am majoring in math and minoring in economics and was thinking about getting an associates or BA in criminal justice or criminology, but I’m not sure which would be better. Does anyone know any actually college/university (not online) that offers these degrees? I would prefer an actually good college as opposed to one no one has ever heard of.

they do not care what degree you have as long as you have a college degree.

what they do look at is experience (military, civilian police, etc..) if you were in the military you get 5 extra points and are ahead of anyone else who applies. if you are a disabled vet you are almost gurantee a job cause you get 10 or 15 extra points. they very rarely (if ever) would hire someone without work experience in law enforcement (especially military)

the best school in the country for criminal justice is john jay in nyc

Either a Juris Doctorate or a degree in accounting. Those are the 2 they look for the most. As for the money making part of your question: make $$ for the FBI or for yourself? Either option is not that important. FBI agents are not paid very well. They do much better as experts, based on their training, after they leave.

The FBI takes all kinds of majors for their positions. If you are wanting to get an additional degree after your Bachelors, you might want to get a master’s degree in something that interests you. You might even want to try an internship first to see if you like it. They have them at the main office in Washington DC. Check out their website for more information www.FBI.gov

Good Luck!
