Medical students typically leave school owing $100,000 – $150,000 in student loans.
It’s almost impossible to work AND go to school, especially in that field, hence the need for so many loans.
The catch is – the government won’t loan anyone more than $10, 000 per year for school, so you’d have to take out personal education loans and you’d probably need a cosigner as well.

Medical school doesn’t last 8 years. I strongly recommend that you do your research into the profession before asking about costs, as med school costs will probably be the least of your worries. But since you asked, 14k a year at a public school, 30k+ a year at a private school.

I have a 4 year degree and it was about 50K. You can figure at least double that.
