The city seemed kinda cool. Since it’s such a big college, I imagine you find all kinds of diverse people with diverse thoughts and opinions.

Remember, it’s one of the best colleges in the U.S. Students work hard to get in, so I doubt they’re just a bunch of hippies : ) More like hard-working people trying to keep focused.

If you’re a Republican or a conservative thinker, you can expect to find plenty of people who won’t think like you. However, you will also find those who do since there are a lot of students there, you know? If you’re really turned off by liberals, a private college or a university in a surburban area as opposed to a city-suburb or large town environment might be a better choice.

Liberal doesn’t mean hippie. I’m a liberal myself which just means I’m prone to see things from the underdogs point of view and maybe a bit more accepting and understanding of individual and community hardships. However, I don’t drink, do drugs, sleep around, go to clubs or casinos, dress skimpy, etc. and might be a lot more conservative than most people in other ways.
