can you go to graduate school with any undergrad degree?
i think i might want to do something in public relations, the music industry or involving celebrities/media/music. i go to a pretty prestigious college, but my school doesn’t offer any major relating to a media studies or PR major, except maybe English. does it really matter what my undergraduate degree is in the big scheme of things if i’m going to grad school? i’m definitely going to grad school for sure, and i don’t want to have to switch schools halfway through my soph. year here. can i still go into those fields with a degree in economics or psych and a graduate/master’s degree in PR or communications?? thnks 🙂

it really doesn’t matter what your undergrad degree is for any type of school…people with music degrees are going to med school and people with science degrees are going to law school…with my science degree, i’m going to go to a business school…it really doesn’t matter as long as you meet all that school’s requirements…good luck

Check with the schools you’re planning to attend what their requirements are. There are two types of grad programme
a) those that deepen you knowledge of a subject you’re already qualified in (that’s not what you’re looking for)
b) ‘conversion courses’ that take you from one subject into another, but at a higher (i.e. graduate) level.
If its a well-designed programme (and most should be these days) you’ll find it pitched at the correct level for the student intake. In the case of a conversion course, that seems like you!
