Any good Grad schools for History majors?
I am looking into American history most likely, i just want to do some preliminary research on different schools.

Sure. Yale, Harvard, University of Chicago, UC Berkeley, Duke, University of North Carolina, some others. I’d suggest you narow down what you want to focus on, then find out who’s working in that field that you’d like to work with and try those schools. Chances are they wrote some of your favorite books.

Look at the schools that professors/academics that you really admire went to and see if they fit into your plans.
It also depends a lot on what part of American history you want to study. General American? UNC Chapel Hill. Colonial? Stick to places like UVA, William and Mary, Boston University, etc. Go to where your primary sources are, if you can.
