IB (International Baccalaureate)?

In a year or so, I am taking IB diploma program. I was wondering what comes next. How much does the IB diploma really worth? Is it widely accepted throughout the world?

Thanks a lot.

The IB program that we have in our school starts in 9th grade (first year of high school). 9th and 10th grade are IB Preperation and 11th and 12th grade are IB.

My sister took IB all thorughout high school and I plan to do the same. It’s a lot of work and it’s very fast paced with a lot of homework/projects/writing.

AP on the other hand is less faast paced and goes more into depth on the topic.

There are IB league schools (I think that’s what they are called) that high praise students who received their IB Diplomas, which you can get only if you complete a number of specific criterias. But the sad fact is that not many colleges look at IB as a praise-worthy program. I believe that in the future it eventually will be. . .

But I really do think IB is worht it because other programs and standard classes are literally high school level. IB programs–you take some college level courses and the way the teachers teach you will greatly help you in college. In other words, IB will definitely help you a whole lot when you go to college because it was hard, fast paced, and etc.

Yes, the classes have a high workload, but the diploma is really worth a lot, and you should be able to go to the college or university of your choice. In 10 years, you’ll be happy you worked for it in highschool.

Cheers,
