Qulifax is a great site which you can use to search courses from all Irish colleges and universitys. I picked out the ones I thought were best which includes Galway-Mayo institute of technology , Institute of technology Tralee and Dublin Institute of technology.

The course in GMIT is a 3 year full time course, ITTs is 4 years full time and DIT has different courses with the option of 1 year full time or 3 years part time. Financially the latter may be the best option if you choose DIT as renting in Dublin is very expensive.

GMIT is situated in galway city which is a nice city quieter than Dublin the capital but not as quite as Tralee. If I were to choose one I would choose the 3 year GMIT course.

John A is incorrect. Employees will always favour applicants with a college degree and sometimes even choose on the bases of which college is attended. Attending GMIT or DIT would be a plus on your CV, they are both known institues in Ireland.

Shannon College is good but you could try GMIT as well they offer a wide range of courses too.

In GMIT there is the course BA (Honours) Hotel and Catering Management. There is alot in the course including alot of things that would be studied in the a Bachelor of Business.

The Hotel and Catering Degree would also have placement every year including i think a summer placement in another country. It is a long course four years, but if you want to do something you might as well do the best.

if you’re planning on going to college you’re really aiming low for what you’re going to pay. even if your entire stay in college is paid through scholarships and financial aid, the time is still not worth it. you could become manager working for the hotel chain or taking two yrs of management in college. if you want to attend college i sujest you aim really really hi, like owning your own hotels around ireland/europe/the world. study management, business, or some sort of entrepeneur-ship oriented course. also personally the only reason i see someone going to college for two yrs is if they have a good connection.
