Puzzles are mysterious games. Just when you think you may have the perfect piece, it doesn’t quite fit. Every piece of a puzzle is important and necessary. When piecing them together, everything seems unclear and confusing at first. Then it starts to come together. For me, college is like that missing puzzle piece that demystifies the final image…

We were taught this (Catholic high school):
First paragraph– you tell them what you’re going to tell them.
Body of essay– you tell them (support the thesis statement and explain your points).
Conclusion– you tell them what you told them (recap of your points; it can be the intro, but reworded a bit).
I was always fortunate to get As on my college writing by following what is called “essay format”. You probably will, too.
