Should I drop History A level of have it done anyway?

I chose this subject because my school’s options are quite limited..even though i go to a private school! I don’t know if i should take another A level insted of a History because our syllabus is based upon the ancient history of the Greeks and i find it kind of boring.

I’d first decide if history is a subject you need for your future university course/career plans. If you do, then you’ll just have to persevere for these two years (perhaps getting a tutor if you find it hardgoing). If not, then dump it and take something else. A-Levels are hard enough without doing a course that doesn’t interest you.

However, if you’re a very dedicated pupil, you could do the A-Level and discuss with your teacher if there is another era you can focus on as you’re willing to do the work yourself, only going to them for guidance. If you chose to do this, be prepared to work hard because your teacher will be working with the main class most of the time and won’t always have the time/knowledge to deal with your queries if you’re doing a different topic from what is taught at the school.
