I’m 17 and in high school does it get any better?

Its so Boring all the classes I take have nothing to do with what I would like to be. What should I do?

It does get better. Get involved in extracurricular activities. I hated high school…seemed so pointless to me. I joined the school paper and was in charge of it by my senior year and took lots of pictures. You can also see if your HS will let you take college courses during HS. Mine let me take 2 my sr. year and the school paid for them, my reasoning was at least it was something useful and free college is always good.

There is not much yo can do, when it comes to high school. All the classes are required to graduate. However, after high school, it gets better. Colege is way better and you get to pick what you are going to study. Don’t think of high school as a boring waste of time, instead think of it as a step toward a better furture.

you can go and talk to your guidence conuslar and see about getting you classes changes saying they are too boring and easy. that you want more of an challenge. and that you want classes that will you carrer ideas. I was in the same boat and now i am paying the price on trying catch up in college taking 9classes week and stessing my self to the limits due the school put me in boring and easy classes and which had nothing to do towards my carrer.

You have survived 11 years, you can survive the last one too. And yes, it will get much better once you go to a vo tech or college. Classes are faster paced, more interesting and more often about things you actually want to know. Hang in there.
