Well in high school, things are a lot bigger. Like the students, teachers, and buildings. You also get more homework than junior high but don’t let that get you down. Millions of students like you are entering high school for the first time. And it can be scary. But just relax. Just be yourself and you can make some life-long friendships. You can make some friends by joining in some after school clubs and sports. And also just by talking to the person beside of you. You can compliment on something they have to strike up a conversation. Also, in high school, you know you have more homework than junior high. So be prepared to do that. Be organized and don’t procrastinate. Doing that will make you feel behind in your classes and you can’t catch up. Just pay attention to your teacher’s lectures, take good notes, and do your homework first before crashing onto the computer. Have a schedule with you or a to-do list. Prioritized your things and tackle big assignments one at a time. And have some fun too. High school is one of the best years of your life. Make it like that and you will enjoy high school.

When I was a sophomore last year, I was scared too. I was the shortest person in my high school. But I got used it and now, I’m used to being around taller people.

good luck!

Relax. High school isn’t as bad as it is made out to be most of the time. It is similar to Middle school/Jr. High. Classes may be a little more challenging, but that is how you learn. Don’t worry about being the new kid in a new school so are 99% of the other freshman kids that will be going to your school. If you haven’t moved to a new school zone (City or state) all your friends from Middle school will be there with you. You will have a Homeroom teacher then you will change classes to see the teachers for your other subjects. Go online, look for your school’s website they may have a school map and other info to help you familiarize yourself with your new school. I am pretty sure that that sometime that first day they will have an Orientation assembly to welcome you and ease your concerns about high school. Good luck!

Why are you flipping out? It is still school, except the work is a bit more than junior high school. It is a great time in your life, you have your friends you will see from last year and you will make new friends. Just relax, and remember, others are just as nervous as you. Nothing can go wrong, except you don’t find your class, but hey, we have all done that.

Relax, study, get good grades, and don’t forget to try out for the different afterschool clubs.

Don’t worry about it, highschools easier than middleschool (atleast where I go to school.) Teachers aren’t so strict because you mature and become independent in highschool. Alot more freedom to do whatever you want as long as you show up for class and do good. The first couple weeks might be tough but you’ll get used to it and it will go by fast.

I was nervous the first day of high school…but so was everyone else! It really was not’ that bad…after the first couple of days you will be used to everything. You just have to remember that this will be everyone’s first day too. You will have your friends from you old school, but there are so many others that you HAVEN’T met too. That is what makes it so much fun: meeting new people…high school is a lot of fun, but there is some work involved. You will do fine….good luck 🙂

Don’t panic at school, you might do something stupid in front of a lot people. It’s usually very boring the first day because the teacher does all the talking while you sit there staring off into space then you ask questions.

Don’t worry about high school. It’s a lot of pressure, it’s hard, but so is everything else in life. You make the best friends, you learn about who you are, you grow into yourself, you become more comfortable in your skin, you grow up and stop depending on your parents/guardians.

It’s great. I love it. It’s one of the most wonderful things. As long as you keep your eyes and your mind open, and you stay away from drugs, gangs, alcohol and violence, it should be great!

Good luck.

well, all i have to say, Highschool is only going to be hard if you keep telling your self its going to be hard, and its only going to be easy if you keep thinking its easy, and if you make the right type of friends you have no problem with highschool. With my personal experience, its kinda hard because i’m trying to keep my C+-A+grades, and its kinda easy because i have my friends there with me and i have supportive teachers. hope you get through highschool. n_n
