Once you’ve done a really grave violation, you’re kicked out! That’s how strict our school is.

It was after school. I walked into a room and this lady who spoke with a really harsh tone and not much to look at told me where to sit. When everyone had arrived she said “Welcome to detention. No talking or making noise of any kind.” etc.

Your only choices of activity were either do work or stare at the board. Anything that looked like it wasn’t work had to come with a signed note from the teacher who assigned it.

It’s a fairly dehumanizing exercise overall but at least it was only 30 minutes.
