Do students have a lot of subjects in junior high school?

I go to junior high school. I am in grade 7.we have 16 subjects. I think it is too much.

well ..even i am in grade 7 .. i do feel we have alot of pressure. we have 3 languages to study ..woooh ..

I understand what you are saying. I just got out of junior high and am about to go to high school. When in junior high I felt that there were way too many classes, at first. But later on you get used to the moving of the classes and also, you only have less then an hour in each class, so you don’t see the teachers for very long. But really 16 subjects it too much, last year we had only 7.

Most students in junior high school do not have 16 subjects. The curriculum usually includes Math, Science, Social Studies, Science, Foreign Language and perhaps Art and Music.

You may be breaking up one subject into a number of subdivisions in order to get to anything close to 16 subjects. For example, under English you might be including grammar, writing, spelling, speech spelling and so on.

When I was in Junior High we had the basics. No Forgine Language. Math, English, Social Studies, Science, an Acedemic enrichment course which is one of the four main classes more in depth and that changed every marking period. And then you had a band, computer, home ec, or gym class.

y do u hav 16 subjects? caus wen i was in 7th and 8th i had 7 subjects 5 core subjects a language and then somethin lik art ,p.e , or Home economics so how did u fit 16 subjects in2 a day? caus thats totally not fair!!! bsides i dont c how that cud even b possible caus u wud hav 2 hav a relly long day 2 hav 16 subjects. i’m in high school and i dont even hav that many subjects.

16 subjects?!?! Tha’ts nuts!!! We have 5 core subjects and a foreign language, and every marking period a fine art. 16 is waaay too much!!! That’s not fair either. How long is your school day and each class?

i’m in grade seven also but we dont have to learn any languages & only have 6 diffrent subjects & i am in all advanced classes. It doesnt matter if ur advanced or in the lower classes, i guess it’s b/c of the school system where i live.
