Script is writing where all the letters in a word are linked, where you go from one letter to another without lifting the pen.

I know this because I do engraving for a living. But it is a completely trivial distinction. Most people use the terms interchangeably.

cursive writing

Also called “script,” a form of handwriting in which each letter of a word is connected to another letter. Contrast with “block lettering” or “printing,” in which the individual letters do not touch.

That was an interesting answer, Mr. Knowitall. I always thought they were the same thing.
