Is there a registration or orientation time before school starts? That will help, you will either get your schedule at a registration time or they will mail it to you. Many schools get their schedule the day school starts. Don’t worry about finding your classes. Everyone is confused on the first day of school. Even the teachers and uperclassmen! They will not count you tardy on the first few days of school. See if you can get a map of the school. Don’t be afraid to ask someone if you don’t know where your class is!

Organization is the key for middle school. Be organized and you will be ready for anything that comes your way!

On the first days you should….

Try to get on your teacher’s good side. Don’t suck up to them or be a teachers pet, but be attentave (sp?) and ask if you have a question.

Make friends! If you see a kid sitting alone, invite him/ her over and get to know them!

You should sit in the middle row of your classes, you don’t want to seem like a teacher’s pet, but you don’t want to seem like you don’t care what the teacher is saying. The middle is your safe zone, and most of the kids will be sitting there.

Make sure you know all the teacher’s rules and grading habits.

The rest of the year

Do your homework the day it is given, not 10 minutes before the due date, the same goes to studying.

Be yourself! And a new year is a chance to make new friends!

Good luck! I promise you will make it through

Ah, Middle School. Both of the middle schools I went to I got my schedule in homeroom when I got to the school. You never have to ask for your schedule as they will either mail it or give to you on the first day.

They won’t go heavy on tardiness. A lot of my classes in both of my middle schools (dad’s in the Navy so we moved) had all the grade and team classes bunched together so the only classes you actually had to look for were the electives and you can always ask a teacher for where they are. Also, classrooms are numbered so just follow the numbers to see if you are going in the right direction.

As for the rules, they really aren’t much different. Don’t be late, follow the dresscode, keep hands to yourself, do your homework, follow directions, etc. Tardiness will be a little lax on the first few days though. Also, be sure to study for the dang SOL’s. Hate them…

I’m a Junior in Chesapeake, VA, by the way. So I sort of know this school system. Not sure how much it changes from here all the way to Manassas though.

at my middle school, you get your schedule during registration, which was just last week. and on the first day at my school each year, you only go to your allied arts classes, not math or science, etc. there will most likely be teachers in the hallways to help you get to your classes- they’ll want to make you middle school years enjoyable from the start, not scary.

you could also go to an open house or orientation if your school has one, or maybe talk to a neighbor or a friend that’s already been in the middle school before you.

don’t worry- im going to be in my second year of middle school, and it’s really fun- way better than elementary school. 🙂

hope i could help!

When i used to be in core college, you might difference, that you should not be involved approximately considering that there have been stalls that persons pass into. If there aren’t any stalls on your locker room, then simply use a rest room stall, or put on your health club shorts underneath your steady pants, had been went out and did the category, then once we obtained again in, we didn’t have got to take showers, and difference again into your natural garments, and go away. During the category, you mostly simply run for 10 mins, stretch for five mins, then play a game. Sometimes, if you are fortunate, you get to play tag or anything. But it used to be now not dangerous in any respect. So do not fear

The office always opens the week before school starts as teachers have to get ready. You should call the office and tell them you are new to the school and ask them your questions… then you won’t have to worry when you actually get to school on the first day. Alternately, when you arrive at school on the first day, go to the office or ask a teacher that you see where you should go. Usually they will be happy to help you.

Some schools will send you your schedule a few weeks before school starts, others will wait until your first day. If you are worried about it talk to other people to see if they got schedules yet or call the school.

if we are talking about schedules, they should be sent to you by mail home–I was given a shedule in the classroom–it is also best for you to come with your parents before school starts and walk around school to see where classes, cafeteria, restrooms, etc. are.

Just go directly to the school, or go on their website if they have one.
