What Is A Good Science Fair Project? Any Idea Will Be Accepted.?

Critical to the scientific method is a clear statement of the hypothesis, a logically constructed test methodology, a validation of the test results (repeated sampling / testing).
One of the biggest challenges is how do you remove your personal bias from the study….and avoiding self-denial or turning a blind eye to evidence contrary to your personal belief or feeling on the subject.
Rather than suggest a specific topic, I would encourage you to look around you to find something in your daily life that you are curious about. For example, how do you know if water is safe to drink? Are bees or wasps attracted to certain colors?
Study something that seems rather odd or counter-intuitive. For example, most mosquitoes need water to breed young. Yet in southern California, which is going through its 9th year of drought, seems to be having a increased number of mosquitoes this summer. Why?
Hope this helps guide you to an interesting and fun project.
Use three different types of light, or no light and have each plant under light for the same amount of hours per day.
Examples of light are, natural, a halogen lamp, an ordinary light, and if you would want no light at all and put the plant in a closet or garage. Then water the plants with the same amount of water every day at the same time(s). Rotate the number of days you keep a plant under a particular light. Example: Monday Wednesday Friday plant A will have no light at all. Then Sunday Tuesday Thursday will be out in natural light. Daily make observations on the plants growth progress. If you don’t’ want to do daily observations you may do weekly.
I suggest you use a digital camera and post the pictures on the three sided poster board. This experiment is a great idea and relatively easy. I hope that this is a good idea. Good luck!
