1.) The distance formula is given by:

d = square root of [(x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2]

Therefore, from your given, the distance will be:

d = square root of [(-3-2)^2 + (0-(-5))^2]

d = square root of [(-5)^2 + (0+5))^2]

d = square root of [25 + 25]

d = square root of [50]

d = square root of [25 * 2]

d = 5 square root of 2

Therefore, the answer is D.

2.) To get the value of AB, you’ll need to create an equation involving your given.

AB = 4x

BC = 7x

AC = 55

Since B is between A and C, you can definitely say that

AC = AB + BC

Substituting the values, we get

55 = 4x + 7x

Simplifying the terms, we get

55 = 11x

x = 5

So, to get the value of AB, we substitue the value of x and it will give us

AB = 4x

AB = 4(5)

AB = 20

Therefore, the answer is B.

3.) The midpoint formula is given by:

x = (x2 + x1)/2

y = (y2 + y1)/2

Substituting the values from your given, we get:

x = (-3 + 2)/2

x = -1/2

y = (0 + (-5))/2

y = (0 – 5)/2

y = -5/2

Therefore, the answer is A.

look up, online, the formula for midpoint and distance

for the second one the formula is 4x+7x = 55 so 11x=55 which is really very simple, just divide both sides by 11
