they got to attack afghanistan and iraq, it gave them the oppurtunity to go after a tyrant (saddam), then when the infastructure in those countries had to be rebuilt, companies in American got the building contracts, maybe thats not the government profiting, but its people. of course there is the oil issue. wow it is a shakey topic.

I’d say it was entirely for money reasons and power. alot of countries backed the war so that gave them power, then again anyone who didn’t back them were allienated. so there’s power.

i do no longer think of that the government itself has profited from 9-11 assaults. The only way I could possibly see the government from planning the attacks would be for oil. I wont give my personal opinion on this matter, but that is the only rationale I could see.

the government had an excuse to attack irak and so they can get their hands on the oil form irak (if you remember that part of the world has plenty of oil), they do not get economical profit for the moment but they can sell it when the world runs out of oil, then they will profit tons of money
