the dairy of anne frank?

i have two questions about the dairy of anne frank, (the play). i really don’t understand it and i would appreciate it very much if you helped.

1. how do mr. and mrs. frank treat anne? how does she feel about each of them? (act I, scene 2)

2. respond to the following quote in a thoughtful paragraph: “there are no walls, there are no bolts, no locks that anyone can put on your mind.” – mr. frank (act I, scene 2)

for #2, you dont have to put it in a paragraph. just simply tell me what he means by that. ty sooo much! 10 points to the person who helped the most. xoxo.

1. Anne towards to favor her father for a couple of reasons. First of all he treats her more like an adult then a child . Her mother on the other hand treats her like a small child. Her father believes in more then here mother does.He mother is not as optimistic as Mr. Frank is. I think that all those effect her relationship.

2. TO me the quote means that although they are locked up in this small attic with little to nothing to do. Anne still has her imagination and that can take her places. No wall can be big enough to stop Anne from imagining and learning.Although the Nazi;s took there right to live peacefully they didn;t take her right to learn.

I know its kind of chunky but I think you get the point.

Simply Put
1. Mrs. Frank treated Anne like a little girl. Mr. Frank gave Anne a few more priveliges and was more understanding of his daughter. Anne is rebellious with her mother but she listens to her father and loves him very much. (Kind of like playing favorites. She loved her dad more than her mom.)

2. Mr. Frank is saying that they can lock up the Jews but they can’t keep them from thinking freely.

It is such a tragic story, I feel both her parents tried to stay distant emotionally because it was the only way they therm selves could stay strong. I really don’t know about Anne in the play but in the book she also seemed to detache herself emotinally.

#2 when you’re locked in a small area with no way to run, play or experience life, your mind is your playground.
