The Yahoo Finance are is OK, or motley fool is also an OK site to look at for stock information. You can trade stocks on TD Ameritrade, Fidelity.com, or a whole lot of other sites. Personally, I think a good stock to trade in is AINV, which is actually a Business Development Corporation- they loan money to other companies and also do leveraged buyouts. The yield in it is slightly over 10% right now, and it has had great capital gains returns since inception as well.

wow that is kinda shaky but a really interesting market (it fluctuates a lot) is the ethanol market try PEIX(pacific ethanol) or USBE (United States BIO energy)
