I have learned that bad grammar and spelling often comes from people that don’t read much. Not to mention that people don’t really care much anymore and it has become socially acceptable. Sad but true.

Aah the age old question!
I reckon some people just don’t care about the image of themselves that they portray when they post questions or answers riddled with spelling and/or grammatical errors. It may be that they are just lazy or rubbish at typing. Having said that, you realise that only those of us intelligent enough to spell words correctly on our own that even notice or bother to spell check anyway.
I think half of these atrocious spellers probably think that their English is perfect (or prefect, as I often see!).
