Whats the best interview answer?
Favorite Answer
Before the interview, print out the classified ad or description of the position. Then make a list of the classes, jobs, volunteer work, and other experience that matches up with the things they ask for. For instance, if they say “must be able to work with a diverse group of people,” think of what you have done in your life that corresponds to that qualification. Perhaps you studied abroad or did community service with the less fortunate. This shows your broadness of understanding when it comes to different groups of people.
You can organize your thoughts by what they are looking for. “You said you wanted a creative person for this position… and I …” Be specific and unique. Tell them qualities and experiences YOU have that no one else does. You can also use anecdotes, make them laugh. The interviewer or interview panel is/are almost always someone/some people who will be working with you – you want to show them you are a competent worker and a comfortable person to be around.
I am a hard working self-starter with great communication skills that will work well with other employees.
