Yes, I did this at work just the other day. I was writing some correspondence and typed the word “acknowledgement.” Now, I take pride in being an above average speller. But I looked and looked at it, and it just didn’t look right. I did spell check and it was OK. But it still looked wrong. I even had a co-worker check it! lol I later researched it and found out it can be spelled either acknowledgment or acknowledgement, but still, at that time, neither looked correct. Oh well…. =)

Yes! Some times, I will look at an ordinary word and subconciously repeat/re-read it and then the word seems completely illogical.

YES! i said the word “analysis” over and over again when i was in math class, and it sounded so weird as if it weren’t a real word. i had to ask my friend if “analysis” was even a word, and she looked at me as if i was an idiot.

yeah its weird, sometimes i say a word over and over until it sounds wierd.
