What is the literary term for something used out of its time?

For example a story about the 1950’s but they are using cell phones.

Thanks

An anachronism is an event out of time.

The word is “anachronistic.” It’s used in words like “chronicles” and “chronograph.” The “-chron” root is Greek for “time.” The prefix “-a” means “not,” for example “amoral,” not moral.
