Grammar Question?

I had to do Subject, verb or verb phrase

The packet containing the papers was stolen from the office. The assistant manager is suspected.

S: packet

V: was stolen

S: Manager

V: is suspected

There have been many radio appeals to stay out of the area, but curious citizens continue to go there.

S: appeals

V: have been

S: citizens

V: continue to go…or just continue?

for the first one, was and is are the verbs…stolen and suspected are adjectives that describe the condition of the subjects.

for the second one, been is the first verb, to stay out is the second verb, and continue is the third.

Ok.. TRULY. the last sentence on the top is actually ASSISTANT manager, not Manager

As for the last one. Citizens GO. Continue is a modifier and to is just a connective word.
