Anyone have some good adjoining and/or mixed metaphors?
Like, “You’ll get into hot water by skating on thin ice.”
Or, “If you let the cat out of the bag, how can you let sleeping dogs lie?”
Then there’s “Idle hands are the mother of invention,” or “You’re trying to pull my leg over my eyes.”
