would you agree that GPA and SAT scores are a measure of ambition and not intelligence?

I’m tired of people presuming that just because you have a low GPA or SAT score, you’re unintelligent.

I’m graduating with a 3.25 at my university so I’m not necessarily referring to me, I’m just saying in general. I don’t believe GPA or SAT scores measure intelligence, just ambition. Would you agree?

yes, i do agree. intelligence is not just measured by test scores. in my opinion, the SAT is a joke. all you have to do, if you’re really dedicated, is go to a bunch of “classes” to prepare for it. is that really intelligence? i don’t think so. there are also many different forms of intelligence, and test scores, GPA, and the SAT do not always measure these different intelligences correctly. someone may just be a horrible test taker, but does that mean they are unitelligent?

No, not really. A highly ambitious person might not test well. A highly intelligent person may not test well. The GPA should measure intelligence and effort expended in all courses. Ambition, however, won’t give anyone the answers to an objective test.

The SATs test how well you take standardized tests. GPA shows consistency and how well you maintain your courseload. They’re both equally important when applying to Universities. The GREs are the same thing — it tests how well you test, but grad schools are more likely to pay attention to your GPA, recommendation letters, and real-world experience.

i’m particular that the song you hear to is a minimum of an indicator of how smart you’re. i think of of myself as an smart being and in accordance to this i’m incredibly smart (The Beatles). i’ve got by no ability taken the SAT, yet I have been given a 27 on the ACT (it incredibly is an ok score, stunning?). My favorites have been close to the better rankings (Bob Dylan, purple warm Chili Peppers, Jimi Hendrix, The doorways, and so on.).

It can go both ways. Your opinion is also true to a certain point but would it be intelligent for a person to get bad grades even though they new the material?

i agree with you. I also think that the standardized test should be abolished. Everybody is different and my standard is different than your or anybody elses.
