If your high school has any business classes, I recommend you try to take them (for example, my high school had an Entrepreneurship class that specifically focused on devising a business plan for the business of your choice). You should definitely try to get into a marketing class, as well as an accounting class. Anything related to business, really, including economics, will help. You also might want to look into a computer class and/or a foreign language, simply because they will make you more marketable to colleges, since you will have to become certified eventually. Also don’t forget to keep up on your english skills, because you will not get anywhere if you cannot read, write, and speak properly. I am assuming you will take the route of beauty school, but if you do decide to go to college as well (which I highly recommend if you are going be owning your own business), you should major in Business Management or Business Administration. Good luck!

Business, management, and economics are the best for opening businesses! Art also maybe…for a salon? There is also a national business club called DECA. You might want to check it out. Good luck!

Oh! a foreign language might help you deal with customers and English can help with your writting and creativity and decor. (But as I said, mostly business…until you get into college and can specialize more directly.)

You need to get you’re license first. When you do that, if you study at a community college (maybe even at a beauty school), they have business salon classes ; you will learn that there. It’s exciting!
