A degree in liberal arts supplies you with the basics in identifying and selecting a field of specialty. I strongly believe a BS opens opportunities in investigating and entering advanced psychology and sociology regimens and a plethora of other specialized as well as general areas. Education prepares one for life (enjoying/improving/changing). Unless you are a person who has grown up with the desire to enter a specific area of study, liberal arts will help you select one by granting you a mature, educated, investigative and intelligent view of life and what you could add to society by honing your innate skills with formal fields of study.

In short, liberal arts offers a ticket to intelligently pursue better lives for yourself and for all society.

EDUCATION HAS NO LIMITS.

If you go to a liberal arts school or get a liberal arts degree, you really need to go to some sort of grad school afterwards unless you plan on living in a box.

Luckily, most grad schools look very well on liberal arts degrees, as do most med and law schools (in those cases they usually don’t even care what your major was as long as you have a degree and decent grades). Just think of the degree as a stepping stone.

A BA or a BS degree is nothing but a paper saying you are literate and not really very dense. You can do anything you want to with your degree. For many years my doctorate cdiploma was hanging on the wall. Now it is in the back of a bookcase, I think.

If you have your first degree, you can get second or third degrees.

Liberal arts can lead you to teacher jobs and librarian jobs and some other jobs. the degree is worthless unless you get Masters at least. PhD can lead you to an instructor’s job in a University.
