What can I do with a psych major & biology minor?
What can I do with that combination? Could I move into a different field/transfer skills into human resources or advertising? I just don’t want to close opportunities on myself. Your thoughts are much appreciated! 🙂

Much of the time its about what kind of skills you have and how you market yourself. Some psych programs have classes on groups, psychology and marketting, human resources and the like, which would help you to gain a position outside of what people traditionally do in your major. Also, I have friends who work for biotech firms doing marketing who have degrees in biology. This is helpful to them as they can understand the product they are trying to market.
It is rather tough to close opportunities, since there’s usually a way to get around it to get to where you want to go, as far as degrees and careers go. Good luck.

psychology can tranfer into being used in marketing. biology not necessarily so. many colleges offer a human resources major. psych and bio also lead into oppurtunities in research, teaching, pre-med, and military careers. Psych can lead into law enforcement, and bio can lead into lab work. all of the oppurtunities can be very challenging and lucrative so maybe you should talk to people who have majored in those areas or who work in any psych or bio/medical field.
