Dropping classes look bad on grad school applications?

I have a great GPA, but have taken too many hours this semester on top of being a TA for a large class, and I do not have time to complete quality work on time, and I fear my GPA will suffer. I had one withdrawl my freshman year. I am now a senior. Will two look horrible?

No. Don’t worry about that at all.

I don’t think the drop will look bad. Students switch in and out of classes all the time. As long as you only have two withdrawals, you should be fine. Your GPA is more important.

It does not look large – in spite of the undeniable fact that it seems greater perfect than a failing grade. (i do no longer understand what college the earlier answerer went to, yet at my college they definetely confirmed up on my transcript!!!) in case you already think of you ruined the semester, withdraw. If its salvageable, i might attempt to stick it out. i think of I had 2Ws on my transcript and have been given into grad college with out issue. in spite of the undeniable fact that, reckoning on despite in case you’re a freshman or a senior, my advice could be distinctive. you do no longer likely desire greater effective than 3 withdrawals on your record. consequently, i might save withdrawals for whilst they’re definitely necessary – no longer basically once you get pissed off and what an consumer-friendly way out. As a freshman or sophomore particularly, you will bump into lots harder training with undesirable professors and you will possibly desire that decision in an prolonged time. (believe me 🙂 ) desire this helped. reliable success!

Depending on the classes you dropped. If you dropped a class about the History of President Bush, your application will look great.

it would have looked worse if you kept the class and failed it. if a grad school asks about something that may be negative, always try to make something positive out of it.

That won’t look bad at all. That’s a wise move provided you don’t get carried away with it. Good luck.
