You’re there to learn. Academics have to come first. There will be many more things to do than you’ll have time for, so remember why you’re there in the first place.
That said, it’s also the biggest social pool you’re ever likely to be in. Scads of people your own age, with new ones every semester. What huge possibilities this presents, eh? Choose your friends carefully and they may remain your friends for life. It’s possible you’ll meet the great love of your life in college.
Or not. But you will probably become the adult you are during your college years. You may change a little, or you may change a lot. Be open to it, and be smart about it.

Get involved, join a club, participate in activities join a frat, attend sporting events. Make sure to focus on your studies, but remember What Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said “Intellegence plus charactar, that is the goal of education.”
