What are my chances of getting into USC?!!?

You said that you have been taking AP classes. Is your 3.7 on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale? I assume that you mean the Baccalaureate/M.D. Program when you refer to the 8 year medicine program. If it is on a 4.0 scale, a 3.7 is low only if you are apply as a Biology, Biochemistry, or other premed major, as most Bac/MD hopefulls do. If you are apply as a an undecided, undeclared, or other less rigorous major, I think a 3.7 should be able to get you in. To be on the safe side though, I suggest that you really study this semester and try to raise your GPA. If you have been getting A’s in the classes you have taken at your local junior college though, you probably don’t have to worry about your GPA.
Finally, I would suggest that you make sure your essay is as good as possible. Try to find a someone who is a good writer and is willing to proof read and critique your essay before you submit it.
Good luck!
Dude, that is wonderful, I think u have a 90% of going there.
Because universities look for authenticity. Yes! Authenticity.
Colleges and universities know that we all do mistakes and try or best. And that why they look for potential in a person instead of perfection because people with potential tend to cope better and perform better
Its really simple as to applying to universities because they DO WANT TO SEE SOME FLAWS IN A PERSON RATHER THAN GOING FOR PERFECTION.
They want to see people who are around and geniune instead of ones that just do it for sake of acceptance.
I think that starting ur own club was a very clever idea because it will help universities see that authenticity in u.
Trust, go for it. But first try to appy for other rigerious universties will help u find better options for what ur looking for and more comfortability.
Good Luck!
But that really means nothing. Just because you have a good chance to get in, doesn’t mean you will. So, just go for it. Apply, and whatever happens, happens.
My advice to you is just keep being involved/taking leadership roles and really keep up your grades. Apply to USC, as well as a couple other really good universities… but also apply to another university that YOU KNOW you will get into, as a back up… just in case.
And if for some reason, you don’t get in, you can always go to another university, and, assuming you stay involved and get really good grades there, you can always transfer to USC later.
Good luck!
Going to the USC college transfer day and talking to someone in person about your application helps tremendously, as it helps them put a face to a name. Your school record is fine, but keep in mind they get thousands of applications a year. By going to the campus and talking to someone in person, it really increases your chances of getting admitted to the school.
Keep trying and FIGHT ON!
