when I think Texas, I think oil and Republicans. There’s only too much to say and read about those two topics already. Bush’s family is very involved in oil. If you want to talk about Republicans in Texas, that would have a lot of sources too. Republicans in Texas support charter schools, less welfare, etc. You can also research the House of Reps and Senator from Texas and see what they are trying to do in Congress (not sure if that applies to your essay but it is a good topic). You can also talk about Texas government’s view on social issues, such as censorship. For example, Texas long ago had wanted to ban ppl. from burning the American flag. In California no one cares. So talking about the Texas government’s opinions is always a good one.
