Med schools usually accept more students from their own undergraduate programs than students from other schools. So depending on which med school you want to attend, you should attend the same school for your undergraduate degree.

Top UC Med Schools for research:

1. UCSF – Berkeley is the feeder

2. UCLA

3. UCSD

4. UC Irvine

5. UC Davis

Top UC Med Schools for primary care:

Any health sciences/biological sciences major will pretty much help you complete all your pre-med requirements. But you can major in whatever field you want, as long as you complete all the pre-med course requirements.

in the beginning – brush aside something it is 6 YEARS previous FOR colleges. a million)Santa Cruz is interior the REDWOODS, no longer the wasteland 2)each college has a party. Santa Cruz is on par with UC Santa Barbara 3) seem on the fact that they are area of the UC. they have analyze, a low student/college ratio. 4) sure, it is not any longer a soccer college. in case you like that, then visit that form of school – the two are ok. yet do no longer choose a school on rumors or unsubtantiated evaluations. Any evaluations would desire to come from actual people who’ve been there.

a lot of students wishing to go to medical school usually major in some sort of science (ex. biology). however, because so many major in the already determined sciences, some medical schools would prefer you if you took something non-science related like english but took the prerequisites for med school. so just major in whatever you love, take the prereqs, and you’ll be on your way to medical school. good luck!
